ThinkGive is a non-profit organization devoted to cultivating young people’s understanding of the social and emotional value of giving. By participating in a ThinkGive Challenge, children in grades 4 to 8 are able to experience the power of giving and its potential impact – not by giving things but by giving thoughtful acts of kindness.
Teachers lead the Challenge with curriculum to introduce various concepts of giving and help guide discussion. Students use the ThinkGive website to record gifts and engage with classmates by exchanging feedback on giving – while simultaneously learning how to use social media in a positive and responsible manner. As a Character Education program, the Challenge promotes the social emotional qualities – empathy, compassion, awareness of others, and kindness – that are relevant for every student.
ThinkGive appreciates the McCormick Family Foundation's belief in our mission and its support of our program. With the Foundation's support, ThinkGive continues to grow and make a real impact inspiring young people to make giving a way of life. Further, the Foundation challenges us with questions to inspire us to grow in a systematic, accountable manner. The McCormick Family Foundation is a true partner in funding our growth.
